Film Preview: Air Force's Offensive Gameplan

For this film preview, a significant amount of credit is due to Flexbone101 on YouTube, who cut up, identified and posted All-22 of every Air Force offensive play in each of its first two games. I've used those videos for the clips in this breakdown and put together the dataset with the play and formation identifications provided.

I'm going to do something a little different for this film preview, because I have access this week to some data that I don't usually have (largely as an issue of time constraints). Thanks to the tireless work of coach Alex Carrick, Flexbone101 on Twitter, I have a complete collection of every play Air Force's offense ran in its first two games of the season, organized by play concept, formation, and yards gained.

So, rather than breaking down a specific play or series of plays as I usually do in this space, I'm going to do my best to reverse-engineer the Air Force gameplan – formation by formation, play by play, with a little less film and a lot more charts. Let's get started.
